Museum of Moving Images
Visiting the Museum of Moving Images was an amazing experience. This museum quickly became my favorites due to the number of interactive exhibits that they had. During the tour, we were able to look at a lot of things that we spoke about in class in more detail. Some of the things mentioned were flipbooks, sounds, music, and the different type of cameras. During this trip, I learned a lot about special effects. Seeing some of the props from movies I’ve watched plenty of times helped me understand what went into filming and editing the movie. My favorite part of the trip was when we could walk through the Jim Henson exhibit. Interning at Sesame Street gave me a whole new perspective on Muppets and what goes into filming them. I was able to look at all of Jim Henson’s work and even see some familiar faces from Sesame Street.
